Credenz

The platform that turns the Article 4 AI literacy obligation into a programme, an assessment and per-employee evidence. Without building anything from scratch.

Learning you can show.

The problem

Article 4 of the EU AI Act requires a sufficient level of AI literacy from staff who use AI systems, according to their role. After the Digital Omnibus regulation (2026/1744) it is an obligation of means: it is not enough to say you trained people, you must be able to show what, to whom and with what result.

In practice, most organisations have a PDF from a webinar and an attendance list. An auditor or a major client asking "what did you do about Article 4?" is not convinced by that.

How it works

  1. Upload your policy

The platform reads your organisation's AI policy (or we help you write one) and uses it as the basis of the programme.

  2. A programme per department

For each department (Finance, HR, Sales, Customer Service) a programme is generated with content tailored to the tools and risks of that role.

  3. Assessment

Each module ends with a multiple-choice assessment designed to measure understanding, not guessing ability.

  4. Sealed evidence

For every employee a completion record is produced, tamper-evident, with a public verification page that exposes no personal data.

What "evidence" means to us

  • Every record is sealed and independently verifiable, even without access to the platform.
  • The verification page shows the department, programme and date, never the employee's name.
  • Employee data (name, email, department, results) stays under your control as data controller. Northbound acts as processor under a signed data processing agreement.
  • Credenz documents measures you took. It does not certify "compliance" and does not claim to.

Where the product stands

Credenz is in pilot with selected organisations. We offer a free 14-day trial for one department of up to 10 people, so you can see the programme, the assessment and the evidence with your own data. Pricing is agreed after the trial, according to the size of the organisation.
